Clerk of Works Yorkshire have developed an effective system to monitor the closing out of defects and observations made to the Contractor by our inspectors.
Pre-Completion (Snagging)
We produce and track schedules of defects / snags towards the end of the contract to identify items / areas of concern prior to handover; these pre-completion reports include photographs.
Site Monitoring
We provide regular reports recording, weather, site activities, labour levels and project progress. This provides our clients with historic information which can be utilised to resolve disputes if necessary.
Progress against programme
Our effective tracking system tracks progress against the contractor’s programme. We record an independent view of the stages of completion of each activity helping to highlight areas of the project which we believe to be behind schedule.
Test witness tracking
Our inspectors ensure a schedule is maintained on any testing of materials and systems on each site. Any failures or non-conformances are highlighted direct to the Contractor and are included within our weekly reports.
